I'm 4 weeks old!!!

Update - If you would like to see my pictures, there is now a link under Sites I Visit...

It's so hard to believe! I'm growing like a weed! Or at least that's what my folks say. Today was a big day for us. I started out the morning modeling for my one month photos. I must say...I am quite attractive. I wonder if I could get paid for this? After that we had a quick bite for lunch. I personally decided just to have some milk. I'm kind of partial to it. After lunch all the conversation was about the car. Apparently we used to have a Jeep, but it's been in the shop for half my entire life. Mom said that she thought I would graduate from college before she ever got it back. Dad had to go back and forth with the collision center, the insurance company and the car rental company. Finally, they all just started dishing it out between themselves and just gave us our repaired car back since it didn't involve us. Mom and Dad sure are happy that's all over.
After all that, we went to have dinner at Mr. Scott and Mrs. Laura's house. Mom and Dad seemed to really enjoy it. They even had a chocolate fountain. Personally, I opted for milk...seeing as how I just like to stick with what I know and like. I don't like change. Kind of like my grandfather...the Colonel.
Speaking of him...we're going leave tomorrow to go visit them. It's been a long time since I've seen them. I'm very excited.
Well, I better go. I think I'm going to have a bite to eat, then hit the bassinet. I think I'll have...milk?
Love,
George

Uncle Jim

George finally had the opportunity to meet his Uncle Jim yesterday. He really liked him. So much in fact that he made his biggest "mess" on record while Jim held him. Maybe that was payback for all the "pull my finger" that we've had to endure from him over the last 30+ years.

Which way will he go?

George is just growing up so fast...and it's only been 3 weeks. He is now spending more time awake just gazing at us as if he's trying so hard to figure us out. (George, I would wonder too!) He still doesn't cry about much. He will "vocalize" some if he's hungry or wet, but most of his crying is reserved for diaper changes and bath times. Today we were out running some errands and he started to get hungry as we were getting ready to leave the store. So, I gave him his pacifier (which happened to be his "Alabama" one) and leaned over him to quietly sing something to soothe him. Well, the first thing that came to mind..."Yea, Alabama!" He loved it. Calmed him down right away. As a little experiment, we tested his reaction to some other fight songs this evening. He likes Jax State pretty well, GA Tech could go either way, Auburn...well, he spit his pacifier out at Bob. Clearly, he was objecting. I guess some of the family will have to work harder to sway this baby over to the other side. However, keep in mind that he has his Grammy and Aunt Kathryn that will sing Alabama songs to him constantly....

It's not like any of it matters though...we all know this baby is GAMECOCK...through and through. We're all just a little shocked that he didn't come out with feathers!

More family!

The Bledsoe family is not small...here's George with some of his cousins.

Meeting the Bledsoes...

George had a big day yesterday. He went on his first "big" trip. We took him to Valley (AL) to meet his great grandmother and many other relatives. He had a big time being passed around and snoozing with so many people who love him so much. Really, he's not spoiled!

Did you think he was always happy?

Well, typically he is...I've honestly never known a happier baby. But, we do get to see him upset from time to time. (A diaper change will always set him off.) Here are some pictures that mom and dad actually think are pretty funny. I'm not sure George would find them as amusing...
