He's growing up and it amazes me what he figures out and learns each day. Here are some of the things he's been up to.
One day last week, Dad had to call mom from the car on the way to daycare and tell her to make another bottle for George and bring it to daycare on her way to work. Why? Because our boy had reached into the bag next to his car seat, whipped out one of his bottles, popped the cap and tipped it back. He apparently laughed quite a bit (with milk drooling down his chin) when dad went to get him out of the car after they arrived at the daycare.
One of the funniest things lately is "stinky feet." All you have to do is sniff George's feet and say, "Whew! Stinky feet!" and he will laugh until he cries. Why is it so funny? We don't know. How long will it continue to be funny? Who knows. Something else that's funny...the words "green beans." Yes...as in the vegetable. One of George's favorites. But also one of the funniest words around when dad says it in his special way.
"Dog" and "cat." These are two words we are working on. George likes to point to them in one of his books and say something like "Gog" and "Ka." Ok...so it's not really the words, but he gets it and he's trying. This is in addition to "mama", "dada" and every so often "bye bye."
Today, mommy taught George to "gimme five." Seems that's a pretty funny game too. Not as funny as "stinky feet" but at least worth a giggle or two. We think he is also starting to learn to give kisses. Or at least George's version. In mommy's opinion, they are a little like wet dog kisses right now, but we're sure eventually they will involve a lot less drool. But drool or no drool, we will enjoy every kiss we can get from our little man.
Thankful for all our Blessings
