Only in the South...

This must be the only place where you have snow one weekend and shorts and bubble blowing weather the next.
Mom went to Birmingham last weekend to catch up with her Zeta sisters and George got to hang out with the Colonel, Grammy and the rest of the Birmingham crew. He had a big time on Saturday playing on the slide and getting muddy with Uncle Jim. Mom came back from the reunion on Saturday night becuase of the expectation of some white stuff. We got about 3 inches where we were, but poor dad got none back at home. George did not seem very fond of snow. We tried to go out and play in it twice and both times he took enough time to check it out, see that it was just cold and wet and headed for the door to go inside. (He's must be Southern through and through.)

This weekend we spent the morning running some errands that included getting some very large shoes for George. Wonder if his feet will ever slow down? We actually moved over to the side wall of Stride Rite where they have the shoes for "big boys." After we got home, it was such a pretty day that we went out side in our shorts and bare feet and enjoyed some bubble blowing. The only downer all day was the fact that there came a time that the bubbles had to go bye bye...and George had a 10 minute temper tantrum about it. Welcome to the toddler years.
